April showers bring…a big May Volt feature release! This cycle we’re proud to introduce our newest big feature in the Volt Coach Platform: Tablet Training Mode!
In Training Mode, multiple users can log workouts from the same device. It’s optimized for tablets and fully featured — meaning Smart Sets™ works in real time as athletes train. It’s our dedicated solution for weight room training sessions, and we’re thrilled to see how you put it to use.
I’d like to give a special shout-out to the members of our Volt Coach Advisory Board, who provided valuable insights and feedback on this feature during development. THANK YOU!

As much as we try not to play favorites when designing new features, it’s no contest this cycle. Introducing Tablet Training Mode: a new feature in the Volt Coach Platform that lets multiple users log workouts from a single device.
Optimized for tablets — but accessible on computers and phones, too! — Training Mode allows you to set up a single device at a squat rack or station in your weight room and add up to 20 users in a session.
One of our top-requested coach features, Training Mode was designed with the help of our Customer Advisory Board (thank you, members!). Whether you’re leading weightlifting classes, training clients in-person, or just don’t want student-athletes bringing phones into the weight room 👀, Training Mode was built for you.
Built to Be Simple
We built this feature to be easy to use. Optimized for weight room training sessions (with high school and college athletes in mind), this feature is user-friendly and easy to onboard. Tap to add athletes, tap to start a workout, tap to log a set — getting started in Training Mode is a breeze.
Built to Be Responsive
Training Mode is designed to perform on a variety of screen sizes, even small tablets. It loads content quickly and is snappy to use. And we based our user experience design on what athletes need to see most.
Instead of displaying multiple workouts on the screen simultaneously, we designed Volt’s Training Mode to show one user’s workout at a time. Based on user testing, we found it was more important for athletes to see detailed movement data and images than it was to view multiple people’s workouts at the same time. This allows us to show movement images and high-def looping technique videos — without squashing anyone’s view of their workout.
